WordPress 2.3 New Features And It’s Implications On Your Blog

WordPress 2.3 introduces nice features likes Tags, Plugin Update Notification and a revamped blogroll. You can check out the entire list of new new features here. While all this sounds nice, you may want to check your Plugin compatibility and Theme compatibility before upgrading to WordPress 2.3. There is also Wordpress Upgrade Preflight Check that will attempt to check your other plugins and themes for problems before you install WordPress 2.3 or after.

You can change individual categories into tags. Tagging importers from the popular tagging plugins are included in this version:

  • Ultimate Tag Warrior
  • Jerome’s Keywords
  • Simple Tags
  • Bunny’s Technorati Tags
